Debate: Touch Me Not – Body Policies
Tuesday, October 15, 6pm, "Ion Besoiu" Cinema @Centrul Cultural „Ion Besoiu”
At the invitation of the University "Lucian Blaga" Sibiu, the team of the controversial film TOUCH ME NOT - the winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival - invites the young public from the university environment to a journey of self-knowledge: about intimacy, the relationship with one's own body and how which we refer to the Other, about our capacity for empathy.
Together with the key protagonists of the film, passionate human rights activists in Europe and the director of the film Adina Pintilie, we invite you to a dialogue on acute topics such as: the body becoming a "battlefield" for ideologies, intimacy and disability, women's rights and gender equality, personal freedom and the courage to be yourself, beauty different from the norms.
A transformative meeting between students and vulnerable communities targeted by the film: about diversity, inclusion, respect for the Other and the possibility of changing mindsets.
