ȘTEFAN DOBROIU

Ştefan Dobroiu is a graduate from the University of Bucharest, with a degree in Journalism and Communication Sciences. In 2006, he became the senior editor of Cinemagia.ro, Romania's leading film website. He is also the Romania and Bulgaria correspondent for Cineuropa.org, Europe's leading film industry portal. Documentary, "the cinema of truth", has a special space in his heart. He has been a juror in critics juries in various festivals (Karlovy Vary, Belgrade, Palic etc.).

 

OANA GIURGIU

Oana Giurgiu directed television documentaries before working on “The Death of Mr Lăzărescu” (d. Cristi Puiu) and “Delta” (d. Kornél Mundruczó), both award-winners at Cannes. During the last 15 years she produced a great number of films selected and awarded in festivals such as Berlinale and Cannes. Her first feature documentary, “Aliyah DaDa” (2014), was screened in Astra Sibiu and in festivals worldwide and won the GOPO Award for Best Documentary. At present she is in post-production with her new documentary “Occasional Spies”. Executive Director of Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) in Cluj.

STEVE RICKINSON

Steve Rickinson is the Communications and Day to Day Operations Manager of European Documentary Magazine Modern Times Review where is also part of its team of critics. He has longtime experience in cultural criticism with a specific focus on cinema and music, having been published across Europe and North America in both mediums. Steve was co-founder and editor in chief of the independent cinema platform IndieWood/HollyWoodn’t. At present he has two short form documentaries in development.
